German runners at Maisons-Laffitte

German-trained runners were once again in the money at Longchamp yesterday with 2 winners (at very lucrative odds!) and their run of success could continue today at Maisons-Laffitte. Mario Hofer, who is currently in great form, saddles Laokoon in the 1200 metres race for 3yo´s at 15.20, and it should not be forgotten that he was runner-up to Overdose over this trip at the Baden-Baden May meeting. He is partnered by Dominique Boeuf, who also rides Delano for Werner Baltromei in a 2100 metres handicap half an hour later, while Privo (Hans Blume/ Katharina Werning) and Vaccario (Waldemar Hickst/ Maria Papke) both contest a claiming race over 1800 metres for lady jockeys at 16.20.
