German runners at Deauville

third and final day of Deauville´s October meeting and the main feature is a listed race for 3yo´s over 2500 metres at 15.35. Werner Baltromei, who had another winner here yesterday, saddles Shawnee Saga (Dominique Boeuf), who has already run well in France but faces some tough opposition here, notably the two British-trained runners Drill Sergeant (Mark Johnston/ Joe Fanning) and Syvilla (Rae Guest/ Davy Bonilla) and the two entries from Mikel Delzangles, Winkle and Court Canibal. Baltromei and Boeuf possibly have a better chance with Cabari in a handicap over the same distance half an hour later. Two more German-trained runners are Applewoi (Doris Smith/ Ronan Thomas) and La Lollo (Ralf Rohne/ Johan Victoire), who both contest the 2yo claiming race at 15.05.
