A mixed meeting this afternoon at Roscommon, with 3 flat races and 4 N.H. Easily the best event on the card is the Grade Three novice chase over 2 miles at 17.45 CET, and it is quite possible that we shall see some of these 8 runners in much better races later on. Ex-German Kalderon (Tom Hogan/ Paul Carberry) was probably the best of these over hurdles, but only scrambled home on his first outing over fences, while Dreamy Gent (Jessica Harrington/ Barry Geraghty) has aöready shown good chasing form. Holly Tree (Eamonn Sheehy/ Ruby Walsh) is also pretty smart, but has to give weight away all round. Noel Meade sent out his 2000th winner on Saturday, and can start the third thousand rolling with Gay Sloane (Paul Carberry) in the novoce hurdle at 18.45. Mst interesting runner on the flat is undoubtedly Teofilio´s own brother Slaney Wave (Jim Bolger/ Kevin Manning), who can take the 1 1/2 mile maiden at 16.45, as the form of his third place at Gowran Park last time is working out well.
