German runners at Saint-Cloud

The German-trained runners were out of luck yesterday at Maisons-Laffitte, but it could be a different story today at Saint-Cloud, where two listed races for 3yo fillies are the main features. Werner Baltromei, teaming up as usual with Dominique Boeuf, is represented in both, with Night Heart running in the 2400 metres race at 14.50 and Maquenada over a mile at 15.50. In the forme event, Night Heart faces a strong challenge from Marion Rotering´s Bella Amica (Johan Victoire) and the Hanover trainer also saddles Sapiranga over 2000 metres at 16.20 with Boeuf in the saddle. The other German runner is Zauberlehrling (Hans-Walter Hiller/ Alxi Badel) who goes foir the1300 metres handicap at 15.20.
