German runners at Nancy

Another huge invasion of French racing, this time at Nancy, by German-trained runners today. Albenga (Miroslav Rulec/ Jean-Michel Breux) runs in the opening 3yo claimer over 2400 metres at 14.05, and the same trainer and jockey are represented by Thanatos in the 1900 metres race for 3yo´s at 15.05, in which Dieter Fechner also saddles two runners, Indinero (Franck Foresi) and Pittoresco (Franck Blondel). In the hurdles race over 3800 metres at 15.35 there are two German runners, Karl Thomas´ Nardello (Paul Johnson) and Christian von der Recke´s Our First Chesnut (Jan Korpas), while there are three in the 2400 metres claimer half an hour later: Pennakar (Norbert Sauer), Absolom (Sarah Weis/ Davy Bonilla) and Wellango (Hans Blume/ Johan Victoire). Three more run in the 1950 metres handicap at 16.35, Royal Rainbow (Andreas Löwe/ Alxi Badel), Courthouse Steps (Fechner/ Blondel) and Allez Filly (Petr Olsanik/ Rene Campos), while Pesago (Christian Sprengel/ Dominique Boeuf) and Mi thrandir (Nina Bach/ Badel) contest the final 1350 metres handicap at 17.05. Our First Chesnut is our tip for the best German chance of the meeting. There is also N.H. racing at Enghien this afternoon and trotting this evening at Vincennes.
