Chester and Haydock

There is also excellent flat racing, mainly at handicap level, at Haydock and Chester this afternoon, and both the class 2 sprint handicaps at Haydock look wide open. ver 6 furlongs at 16.00 CET, Joseph Henry (David Nicholls/ Silvestre de Sousa) and Bel Cantor (Bill Ratcliffe/ Kelly Harrison), third and fourth in the Ayr Silver Cup, but Musaleem (William Haggas/ Tony Culhane) could be the answer here. Haggas and Culhane also have prospects of landing the 5 furlongs race at 16.35 with Fyodor, but possibly Cheveton (Russell Price/ Jim Crowley), who won five in a row before finishing a close 5th in the Portland Handicap, will prove stronger. At Chester, the 10 furlongs at handicap for 3yo´s at 16.50 sees My Aunt Fanny (Andrew Balding/ Liam Keniry), unbeaten in two races this CD, and Deep Winter (Richard Fahey/ Duran Fentiman), winner of 4 of his last 5 races, facing Clive Brittain´s top-weight Bazergan (Chris Catlin), who has won his only start this year and is possibly much bet ter than a handicapper. With several front-runners in the field, the 7 furlongs handicap at 17.25 should be run at a furious pace, which could suit the come-from-behind runners such as Fathsta (Silvester Kirk/ Liam Keniry) and Guilded Warrior (Wilf Kittow/ Louis-Philippe Beuzelin)
