Inspection at Leopardstown

the bad weather continues in Ireland, and there is a strong doubt about today´s Leopardstown meeting, which includes no fewer than 5 group races (3 of them carried over from last Sunday´s abandoned Curragh fixture). An inspection will be held later, but Tramore has already been abandoned today as well as tomorrow´s Roscommon meeting. Should racing go ahead, Aidan O´Brien and Johnny Murtagh seem to be as usual in the pole position with strong entries in most races. The 5 group races are: Phoenix Sprint, 6 furlongs at 15.45 CET; Debutante Stakes, 2yo fillies, 7 furlongs, 16.45; Desmond Stakes, one mile, 17.45; Royal Whip, 10 furlongs, 18.15 (where 3 of the 5 declared runners are trained by O´Brien); and Ballyroan Stakes, 1 1/2 miles, 18.45
