German runners at Deauville

A relatively low level meeting at Deauville today, with the first four races on turf and the last five on the fibresand track, including the two races with German runners. Fighting Johan (Hans Blume/ Jean-Pierre Carvalho) is running for the first time since being gelded in the spring and if anywhere near best form must have good prospects in the conditions race for 4yo´s over 2300 metres at 16.05, while Big Lion (Werner Baltromei/ Dominique Boeuf) contests a 1900 metres handicap for 3yo´s at 17.35.
