U.K. racing today

A typical Monday, with mainly low level racing at Southwell (all-weather) and Yarmouth this afternoon, and Windsor and Uttoxeter (N.H.) this evening. The bes race at Yarmouth is the class 4 handicap over 7 furlongs at 17.00 CET, in which top-weight Manchurian (Mark Wallace/ Pat Cosgrave) appears to have Bobski (Gay Kelleway/ Alan Munro) and Mark Johnston´s Fitzroy Crossing (Greg Fairley), now sporting first-time blinkers are soe disappointing efforts, to brat- but none of them look too reliable. At Southwell, Sir Mark Prescott, whpo contonues in great form, can take the 2yo handicap at 15.45 with Night of Fortune (Seb Sanders), who is penelaised 6 lbs for winning at Kemptpn 4 days ago. The 6 furlongs handicap at 17.15 looks quite open, perhaps Sanders can double up with James Fanshawe´s Dan Chillingworth, who has been placed fifth on all his four career starts so far, but looks capable of winning in this grade. Richard Hannon and Richard Hughes, who are usually on the mark at Windsor, can score a double with Orange Pip in the fillies handicap over 6 furlongs at 20.40, and Border Owl in the mile maiden race at 21.15. At Uttoxeter´s jumps meeting, German-bred Galiana (James Lambe/ Tony McCoy) can take the opening novice hurdle at 19.15 and McCoy also has a couple of good chances for Jonjo O´Neill, whose horses are now running much better, notably Different Class in the 3 mile handicap chase at 20.20.
