Kempton (a.w.), Worcester (N.H.) and Naas (Ireland) this evening

It could be significant that trainers Aidan O´Brien and Jim Bolger, together with their stable jockeys Johnny Murtagh and Kevin Manning, rush back from Newmarket to Ireland this evening, where they are represented by the top-weights King of Westphalia and Ard Theis respectively in the 10 furlongs handicap for 3yo´s at 21.00 CET. Preference is for the extremely well-bred King of Westphalia, but however he fares, O´Brian and Murtagh should be in te winner´s enclosure half an hour later with Zulu Chief, a half-brother to Hawk Wing, in the 10 furlongs maiden half an hour later. Another afternoon performer from Newmarket´s big meeting is Frankie Dettori who travels to Kempton for just one ride, Godolphin´s Never Cry in the 6 furlongs race for 2yo fillies at 19.50. She is one of the first Godolphin 2yo runners this season, and of those that have already run, Deya´s Dream (Andrew Balding/ Franny Norton) and Touching (Richard Hannon/ Jimmy Fortune) look best. At Worcester´s evening N.H. meeting, Alison Thorpe looks the trainer to follow. She has runners in 3 races and could well win two of them, the novice hurdle at 19.40 with Runaround Sue (Tony McCoy), an easy CD winner last time out, and the novice chase an hour later, where she saddles two of the 6 runners, front-runner Ellerslie Tom (Paddy Brennan) and Dishdasha (Dominic Elsworth)
