Ireland and Scotland this evening

There is also N.H. racing this evening from Kilbeggan and flat racing from Hamilton. At the Scottish track, the main event is the valuable Scottish Stewards Handicap over 6 furlongs at 21.00 CET. Last year´s winner Knot in Wood (Richard Fahey/ Jamie Moriarty) has not won since then, but still has prospects of landing the double. Last time out winners Everymanforhimself (Kevin Ryan/ Neil Callan) and Pawan (Anne Stokell!) are others to consider. Also at Hamilton, Guest Connections (David and Adrian Nicholls) and Fire up the Band (Alan Berry/ Fergal Lynch) both reappear quickly after running here last night. As Guest Connections ran out an easy winner then, logically he should do so again. The best race at Kilbeggan is the Midlands National, a handicap chase over 2 3/4 miles at 20.55 with a maxmum field of 14 runners. Clarkey (Chrosty Roche/ Alan Crowe), who unseated his rider last time, can make up for this now, while ex-German Dow Jones (Mike Halford/ Ruby Walsh) is another one who failed to complete on his recent comeback from a long break, but has chances on his best form, as does course specialist Il en Reve (S.J.Treacy/ D.F.Flannery) and War of the World (Mouse Morris/ Davy Russell)
