Hamilton and Salisbury this evening

This evening´s meetings at Hamilton and Salisbury cannot measure up to the high standard of the afternoon cards, but there is an interesting 7 furlongs race for 2yo maidens at 20.45 at Salisbury. Cannwin (Mick Channon/ Eddie Creighton) has finished third on both his starts, but arguably the two fourth places of Tudor Key (Amanda Perrett/ Jim Crowley) from an excellent Röttgen family, represent better form. However there are also some interesting newcomers here, notably Prince Siegfried (David Probert) from the in-form Andrew Balding stable. Althoiugh Balding´s 2yo´s usually come on a lot for their first run, it should not be forgotten that his father Ian sent Mill Reef to this track for his raceccourse debut.
