Rest of Epsom

The rest of the Epsom card is also extremely high-class, as befits the occasion. The afternoon could well start off with two horses repeating their 2007 successes here - Blythe Knight (John Quinn/ Graham Gibbons) in the Diomed Stakes (Group Three) at 14.40 CETR, in which he has Peter Chapple-Hyam´s Don´t Panic (Alan Munro) and the Godolphin pair Young Pretender (Frankie Dettori) and Alexandros (Kerrin McEvoy) to beat, and the tough 9yo Unshakeable (Bob Jones/ Paul Eddery) in the class 2 mile handicap at 15.10, where top-weight Eradicate (Mark Johnston/ Joe Fanning) looks a big danger. The listed race over 7 furlongs for 3yo´s at 17.50 has a relatively weak field, and perhaps Godolphin´s Iguazu Falls, a big disappointment so far this year, can get his head in front and possibly complete a good afternoon for Frankie Dettori.
