There is N.H. racing today at Cork and a mixed card at Roscommon (4 flat races, 2 N.H., and a bumper). Salford City (Gordon Elliott/ Paul Carberry) should win the novice chase at 17.25 at the latter track; he was easily the best of these over hurdles and has started off his chasing career with a winning effort. Of the flat races, the 7 furlongs handicap at 15.55 looks very open, but Wesaidneveragain (Augustine Leahy/ Fran Berry), who has been runner-up five times, can finally get his head in front for his attractive owner. At Cork, there are huge fields in the hurdle races, but only 5 runners in the 2 mile 1 furlong handicap chase at 16.45, which should lie between top-weight, and last winner´s winner, Dbest (Joanna Morgan/ Joe Cullen) and easy last time out winner Jubilant Note (Michael Murphy/ Davy Russell). An interesting outsider could be top-weight Dalucci (Charlie Swan/ DG Hogan) in the handicap hurdle at 17.15; he unseated his rider last time out, but has been racing in much better company.
