Ireland this evening

There is the usual Friday evening flat racing on the all-weather at Dundalk and also a mixed meeting at Cork (4 flsat races, 2 chases, one bumper). The best horse on view at Cork is almost certainly Salford City (Gordon Elliott/ Paul Carberry), who was a group race winner on the flat and also a smart hurdler - well beaten but far from disgraced in the top Irish races- who makes his debut over fences at 21.20 CET. At Dundalk, the Aga Khan´s Zafayra (John Oxx/ Mick Kinane), the only filly in the small field, should win the conditions race for 3yo´s at 22.40, as she should be suited by the step up to 1 1/2 miles.
