French racing today

There is racing in France this afternoon from Maisons-Laffitte (flat) and Nantes (Trotting). With German-trained runners continuing to do well, there should be plenty of interest in Mario Hofer´s Kaliyan (Jean-Pierre Carvalho) and Horst Steinmetz´ Nasibow (Maxime Guyon) who both run in the opening tiercé handicap over 3100 metres. With the ground likely to be soft, the latter is preferred. There are also two sellers for lady riders on the card, in both of which Kati Werning will be riding for Jean-Luc Pelletan: Ilbaritz at 16.50 CET and Low Budget at 16.50. In the latter event the ex-Mario Hofer-trained Famous, now with Cedric Boutin, will be ridden by Carina Fey.
