3 N.H. meetings in the U.K., one in Ireland

After the excitements of Aintree, the jumps racing today at Hexham, Market Rasen and Southwell, as well as Limerick in ireland, is very modest by comparison. Some decent novices turn out for the Grade 2 race at 17.35 at the Irish track. This is quite an open race, most all of the 8 runners having similar ability. Callherwhatulike, Candy Girl and Wheresben are possibly the 3 strongest candidates. At Market Rasen, ex-German Air Force One (Charlie Mann/ Noel Fehily) looks a certainty to win the novice chase over 3 miles 1 furlong; another ex-German horse, Karl Burke´s Gardasee is entered here, but is more likely to run in a similar event over 2 1/2 miles at 16.10 at Southwell (staging one of its rare N.H. meetings). However he looks booked for third place there, behind Oslot (Paul Nicholls/ Sam Thomas) and Possol (Henry Daly/ Mark Bradburne). Best race at Hexham is the class 3 handicap hurdle over 2 1/2 miles at 16.30. Topaz Lady (Nicky Richards/ Fearghal Davis) has obvious chances following his very easy win here 3 weeks ago. On the same card the consistent Bollin Ruth (Donald and Gary Whillans) was beaten a short head over a shorter trip and looks the main danger.
