Newmarket, Sunday, May 1: The fillies make their grand entrance today at the Rowley Mile in the 1000 Guineas (5th race/16.40pm/500,000 pounds/1609m). Aidan O`Brien has two hot irons in the fire through Tenebrism (Ryan Moore) and Tuesday (Frankie Dettori). The former capped her career to date with victory in the Cheveley Park Stakes (Group 1) over Sandrine (David Probert), while her stablemate currently won in Naas in the style of a better horse. The O`Brien fillies will be challenged by Discoveries (Shane Foley), who scored her most valuable triumph in the Moyglare Stud Stakes (Group 2). Malavath (Christophe Soumillon) and Zellie (Tom Marquand) currently made their mark in the Prix Imprudence (Group 3) in the first two places. The former ran in last year`s Breeders Cup (Group 1) and pleased when second well ahead of Mise En Scene (Cieren Fallon), who was a good fourth behind Prosperous Voyage (Rob Hornby) in the Fillies Mile (Group 1) here. Wild Beauty (William Buick), Cachet (James Doyle) and Juncture (Colin Keane) made their mark this year with victories at a higher level.

Mare Australis like last year?
Longchamp, Sunday, May 1: With six horses is today in Longchamp the Prix Ganay (6th race/16.25 clock/300,000 euros/2100 m). The colors of the Schlenderhan stud are represented by Mare Australis (Olivier Peslier), who won the match last year. Spectacular start to the season in Munich!
Munich, Sunday, 01 May: The 2022 racing year will get off to a spectacular start at the Munich-Riem racecourse, as the Bavarian Classic (Group III, 55,000 Euros, 2,000 m) is one of the most important local preliminary tests for the Blue Riband, which will be held in Hamburg this year on 3 July.
It will be interesting to see who will be in the running for the top event. The match seems to be very open, because quite a few candidates still promise a lot of potential for improvement. Markus Klug is well prepared with four candidates, whereby So Moonstruck (A. Starke) will certainly enjoy a lot of confidence. Andreas Wöhler`s Maraseem (E.
